Howdy everyone. I'm a 20 yr. old male who eats well and feels great; however I think I can improve my diet and am hoping to get some advice/feedback.

I've been very healthy all my life, but lately I've began to have looser-than normal stools and am having to go #2 twice a day, instead of my usual once-in-the-morning routine. I usually eat 2 or 3 meals a day with maybe a snack in the afternoon. Lately my stools have been a lighter shade and not as together as they used to be a month ago. It feels like my body is digesting food very fast so it's all ending up as a "lot" at the end of my insides, instead of effectively processing each "bunch" one at a time. Thus maybe resulting in the increased bathroom trips? I'd love to get back to the way I was.

I'm worried I might not be getting enough of certain things my body needs. So here's a list of a normal day's food I might have...

9am - english muffin with jam, or bowl of cereal

1pm - 2 flour tortillas w/ cheese (quesadilla), or club sandwich

7pm - chicken breast on a bun w/ mustard, fries and ketchup on the side

occasionally at 9 or 10pm I'll have a fruit smoothie, yogurt, or pudding.

Also, I drink approx. 3 glasses of water a day, and maybe a soda.

Am I not getting enough greens or some kinds of vitamins? I'm very flexible on what I eat, so I'll take any suggestion into consideration.

Methinks NOT, friend. Brown is the color of good poo, and it should never be foamy. Your diet is probably in need of a good overhaul, and you shouldn't be "pooping with all your might". Relax, let it come, and pinch off when you feel mostly empty.

Don't try to get it all out, man. Save something for later.

Yeah TSV, looks like something is mixed up here.

Kev', your diet sounds ok but, try adding a bit more vegetables and friut. Ditch the English Muffins, and try a high fiber cereal instead.

Good luck getting back to normal.

Add some veggies, and ditch the soda.

Your diet's really high in processed carbs, which could be causing you some problems. I'm with healthy 1, add more veggies and fruits and eat more whole grains. Maybe oatmeal or a high fiber cereal in the morning and add some broccoli to your quesadilla.

Have you changed your exercise routine lately? I know for a fact that when you are active, you poop more because the motion of your body kind of shakes everything down toward your anus.

I have actually noticed the opposite, but then, I'm weird that way. Recently I started studying martial arts in an attempt to get into shape again. (Having a baby can wear you out!) The exercise has turned my recent million wipers into thick, hard, constipated lumps and I shit a hell of a lot less.
